Student Audience Program Manager
AWS Student Builder GroupsΒ  are student-led user groups for cloud & AI enthusiasts aged 18 and above. Student Builder Groups are led by student leaders who guide and manage their campus clubs with support from AWS. During their 12-month term, Leaders organize events to build awareness of AWS in their communities.
Benefits include the opportunity to upskill in both technical and soft skills with the gift of AWS credits, certification vouchers, swag, and more! We've heard from our alums that the technical knowledge + community building experience looks great on resumes/CVs.
Many of our Alumni have graduated to join AWS or AWS Partner companies full-time as Software Engineers, Solutions Architects, Cloud Engineers, and more. Some go on to start or lead AWS User Groups, or become thought leaders as AWS Community Builders. The possibilities are endless!

⭐ What current and alumni had to say

We asked Leaders: "What has been your most memorable or impactful experience with AWS Cloud Club, and how has it influenced your personal, academic, or professional journey?"

Leadership development

Being a Leader pushes students beyond their comfort zones in ways they never expected.
"I used to be a shy student who just wanted to make it through her academics. Yes, I joined clubs before, but I never took on a role with the highest level of responsibility. I was scared to fail others and myself. However, joining and being accepted into the AWS Cloud Clubs Program enabled me to try something new β€” to try leading and founding a club in our institution, even though I still had the same fear within me. It made me realize that fear and anxiety will always be there, but that doesn't mean they should stop me from experiencing things that will help me grow." β€” Helena Tantoco
"AWS Cloud Clubs helped me to grow in my career. I was a shy person who didn't have confidence to speak in front of 10 people. Today I am a person who hosted a small session in front of 1,200 people at AWS Community Day Ahmedabad." β€” Rishabh Tanwar
"This experience has shaped me deeply. It taught me resilience, leadership, and how to take responsibility even when things feel impossible. Becoming the first AWS Cloud Club Captain from my college is not just an achievement for me β€” it represents every struggle, every effort, and every moment I chose not to give up." β€” Fathima Rasha
"Seeing students who had never touched live AWS infrastructure walk in nervous and leave having solved real cloud challenges as a team β€” that was it. It confirmed why the club exists... It directly shaped how I think about my own career at the intersection of cloud and security." β€” Ayomide Olusanya

Career outcomes

The Leader experience translates into career momentum.
"Being a Captain opened many opportunities for me professionally. For example, I got a job as a junior software engineer, and academically I'm able to be up to date with cloud." β€” John Lexter Reyes
"The momentum from the Cloud Club inspired me to push the limits of what student developers can create... It gave me the practical foundation to pursue my SAA-C03 certification and paved the way for my recent acceptance into the AWS Community Builders program (Machine Learning category)." β€” Zaynul Abedin Miah
"This experience has helped me develop leadership, communication, and event management skills by organizing technical sessions, workshops, and collaborative spaces where knowledge is shared openly... Professionally, it has opened doors to opportunities, expanded my vision of the industry, and strengthened my confidence to pursue a career as a Cloud and Backend Engineer." β€” David Sebastian Barrera Gaona

Campus impact

Leaders don't just learn the cloud β€” they build confidence in others and become known for it.
"Seeing my peers lose their fear of the AWS console and start building their own architectures is my greatest achievement. It has shaped me into a leader who doesn't just build in the cloud but also builds the people who will use it." β€” Misael Calisaya
"The same club that no one recognized became one of the most active and talked-about communities on campus... Being a Captain itself is impactful β€” being able to lead and bring learning opportunities to students on my campus. And most recently, the AWS Student Community Day I hosted is, as of now, the biggest and most successful tech event ever hosted in the history of my school." β€” Abraham Folorunso
