Integrating Kiro with Amplitude MCP Server
A Complete Guide
Introduction
In today's cloud-native environment, having real-time analytics and product insights at your fingertips is crucial. By integrating Kiro with Amplitude MCP server, you can leverage powerful AI-assisted product analytics and user behavior analysis capabilities directly in your development workflow. In this blog, we will integrate Kiro with Amplitude Remote MCP.
Prerequisites
- Have an Amplitude account or get a free trial with data in it already
- Kiro installed on your system
- Basic familiarity with AWS services and Amplitude platform
Walking through the Kiro MCP installation process
MCP configuration in Kiro is managed through JSON files. The interface supports two levels of MCP configuration:
- User configuration:
~/.kiro/settings/mcp.json– Applies to all workspaces - Workspace configuration:
.kiro/settings/mcp.json– Specific to the current workspace
Step-by-Step Integration Guide
- Configure Amplitude MCP Server
First, set up your Amplitude account with data in it. Follow the Technical Specifications documentation for requirements.
- Configure Kiro MCP Settings
1. Open Kiro IDE.

Kiro offers a chat panel where you can interact with your code through natural language conversations. Just tell Kiro what you need.
You can now use natural language to:
Query and analyze data:
- "What were the daily active users over the last 7 days?"
- "Show signup conversion rates by traffic source this month"
- "Which features have the highest engagement rates?"
Create content directly:
- "Create a dashboard showing our key product metrics"
- "Create an experiment to test the new checkout flow with a 50/50 split"
- "Build a cohort of power users who have used the product more than 10 times"
Discover and search:
- "Find all charts related to user retention"
- "Search for dashboards containing mobile app metrics"
- "Show experiments testing the payment flow"
Analyze experiments and feedback:
- "What's the performance of the checkout experiment?"
- "What are the main insights from customer feedback this month?"
- "Show me recent customer feedback comments about the mobile app"
