AWS Summit India 2025 – Bengaluru - AN EXPERIENCE
A blog of AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025 with technology, innovation, networking, talks and unforgettable community experiences.
Over the past 8 years, I’ve deeply occupied myself in an amazing ecosystem of Kolkata’s tech community, attending and organizing many meetups, events, and conferences. This year marked a significant milestone: I took a big step forward by attending the AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025, stepping beyond my local area to connect with a broader audience.
For more than 6 years, I’ve been passionately organizing meetups and events for the AWS User Group Kolkata—a journey driven by collaboration and shared learning. This year, I decided to expand my limit and explore the AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025, aiming to build new connections, engage with fellow AWS User Group leaders, and meet inspiring people like AWS Heroes, WomenInTech, and even AWS employees across India.
It was a first-time I was meeting so many of these individuals, yet their reactions were overwhelmingly positive. Hearing my journey sparked curiosity and admiration, and the experience itself felt transformative—a blend of excitement, growth, and unexpected connections. Attending the summit wasn’t just about networking; it was an unforgettable time in my life, proving that sometimes, taking a leap beyond comfort zones leads to the most rewarding experiences.
Day 1 – Innovators Edition: AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025
May 7, 2025
The day began early—around 4:00 AM, to be precise! After a quick checked some of my emails, a fresh shave, and a thorough room cleanup, I packed my essentials for the summit. My "event survival kit" included everything from ID documents and a power bank to a water bottle, hand sanitizer, and even a spritz of perfume to stay confident all day.
By 6:00 AM, I was on the move. After locking up my hotel room (located in Whitefield, where I’d be staying for 12 days), I made my way to the metro station—just a 10-15 minute walk away. The journey from Whitefield to Nallur Halli took about 10 minutes, and soon I was navigating through the amazing city of Bengaluru.

The venue, the KPTO Exhibition Centre in Whitefield, wasn’t far—just a 10-15 minute walk from the metro exit. But as I approached, I noticed a long queue forming for registration. Wait—this might be a good sign, I thought. A quick scan of my QR code at the gate (which opened 7:30 AM, just 30 minutes earlier than scheduled!) got me into the event smoothly.

Early Bird Perks:
I was thrilled to secure one of the first 2,000 spots for the early bird goodies—AWS’s way of thanking attendees for their enthusiasm! My ID card printed instantly, and I grabbed my swag with a smile.
Breakfast & Keynote Prep:
The keynote started at 10:00 AM, so I made it to breakfast just in time (though the queue was still long!). I managed to grab a quick bite and head straight to the expo area. The AWS Event app became my guide, helping me navigate the sponsor booths.
Keynote Highlights:
At 10:00 AM, I joined the KEYOO1: Innovators Edition Keynote featuring some of the biggest names in the industry:
- Sandeep Dutta, President, AWS India and South Asia
- Sirish Chandrasekaran, Vice President, Analytics, AWS
- Rafee Tarafdar, Global CIO, Infosys
- Ramki Gadipatti, Co-Founder, Zeta
The session was a masterclass in innovation, vision, and the future of cloud computing. Afterward, I spent the rest of the day immersed in the expo area, engaging with sponsors and fellow attendees. With AWS Events app as a roadmap, I connected with 80% of the sponsors, making meaningful conversations that felt like networking gold.

Collaborative Moments:
While roaming around the expo area, I met Upasana Sharma, who also from Kolkata! We bonded over our shared roots and decided to explore the event together, completing quest challenges side by side. It was a delightful way to connect with someone who understood the value of community-driven events like AWS Summit.
Lunch Break:
By 12:40 PM, I made my way to the lunch area, where I enjoyed a hearty meal while catching up with Upasana and others in the crowd. The energy was amazing, and the food was a great way to recharge for the rest of the day!

Community & Game Day Insights:
Later, I had a chance to meet Pallavi Jha, an AWS employee who’s been part of my journey for some time now. She and her team were coordinating the AWS Game Day, and we spent time discussing how community events like meetups and summits are vital for fostering connections. Pallavi shared insights about upcoming meetups, the importance of grassroots engagement, and the role of AWS in driving innovation through collaboration. It was a rewarding conversation that reinforced the power of networking beyond just professional goals.

A Special Encounter:
After attending sessions around 2:00-2:30 PM, I visited the "AWS Developers and Training & Certification Lounge"—a space designed to bring together AWS User Group leaders, AWS Heroes, WomenInTech, and employees from across India. It was an incredible moment to see so many passionate individuals under one roof, all united by their love for technology and cloud innovation. I took plenty of photos and selfies with everyone, cherishing the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals.
SummitQuest Challenge:
The fun didn’t stop there! Post-keynote, I joined the AWS SummitQuest Lucky Draw Challenge, combining exploration with a touch of luck—perfect for someone who thrives on both discovery and surprise.

Why This Day Matters:
This was my first time stepping beyond Kolkata’s tech scene to engage with AWS leaders, heroes, and innovators across India. It wasn’t just about attending an event—it was about bridging gaps, sharing stories, and proving that dedication and curiosity can lead to unforgettable connections.
The day ended with a sense of wonder and gratitude. Bengaluru’s energy, the summit’s innovation, and the power of human connection made it a milestone moment in my journey. And honestly? I’m already looking forward to Day 2!
Day 2 – Technical Edition: AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025
May 8, 2025
The day started much like Day 1—awakened at 4 AM, packed my bags, and began my journey around 6 AM. However, this time I was a bit late, slipping by 10–20 minutes due to something. But as I approached the venue, the place had crowded dramatically!
By 7:20 AM, I arrived at the venue, only to be greeted by a bustling scene that felt entirely different from Day 1. The parking lot was filled with cars and buses—something I hadn’t seen the previous day—and the queues for attendees stretched long, with a round of 300+ people in each of the four parallel lines. It was clear that the Technical Edition had drawn a massive crowd, and my 20-minute delay felt like a minor setback compared to the energy radiating from the event.

Despite the rush, I managed to grab the early bird goodies again for Day 2, proving that preparation pays off—even when time is tight! After registration, I followed the same routine as Day 1: grabbed breakfast, then hit the expo area with renewed focus. I reconnected with Upasana Sharma, my Kolkata-based friend from Day 1, and together we completed any remaining quest challenges and visited sponsors I hadn’t had time to explore yet.
The day’s highlight was undoubtedly the KEY002: AWS Summit Bengaluru: Technical Edition Keynote. Featuring a stellar lineup of experts, including:
- Santanu Dutt, Director of Technology, APJ, AWS
- Satinder Pal Singh, Director, Solutions Architects, AWS India
- Dr. Pratyush Kumar, Co-Founder, Sarvam.ai
- Murli Brahmdesam, CTO & Head of Engineering, Razorpay
- Abhijit Kane, Co-Founder, Postman
The session was packed with insights into cutting-edge technologies, real-world use cases, and the future of cloud innovation. It was a perfect blend of technical depth and inspiration!

Post-keynote, I returned to the AWS Developers and Training & Certification Lounge, where I once again met AWS User Group leaders, AWS Heroes, WomenInTech, and employees from across India. The energy in this space was electric—a hub for collaboration, creativity, and connection. I took countless photos and selfies with everyone, attended several breakout sessions, and even played games to unwind.
- Highlights of the AWS Developers and Training & Certification Lounge:
- Spinning the wheel for swag prizes (luck was definitely on my side!)
- Exploring the AWS Jam area, where teams showcased innovative projects and ideas
- Hanging out at the Training & Certification booth, diving deeper into learning opportunities
By the end of the day, I had successfully completed 100% of the AWS SummitQuest Challenges—a milestone that felt incredibly rewarding! Between Day 1 and Day 2, I’d collected an impressive number of goodies and swags from every corner of the event.

The Technical Edition was a masterclass in how technical depth meets community spirit, and it solidified my belief that events like AWS Summit are not just about learning—they’re about building relationships, sharing ideas, and growing together.
