Yusuke Kuoka
AWS Hero since 2018
About
Yusuke has been an AWS Container Hero since 2018, when he was working for freee K.K., a Japanese fintech company that provides a comprehensive web-based ERP suite.
He introduced both self-hosted Kubernetes on AWS and an EKS-based internal platform that serves many production workloads across several companies.
He also contributed to and continues to maintain various open-source projects related to Kubernetes and AWS, including actions-runner-controller (now part of GitHub), Helmfile (still widely used), and others.
He is now part of SurrealDB, which builds a scalable and embeddable multi-model database, envisioning a database that is as general as it applies to many real-world workloads, like containers have been.
